- By BubbalumpkisBugs in this version, but one of the best utilities I’ve usedThe original Jumpcut has worked on every system I’ve tried it on and is one of the most useful apps I’ve ever installed, but hasn’t been updated in a long time and I’ve had to cross my fingers that it would work after every OS upgrade. I’m glad Flycut has taken up the reins to keep this utility alive and well, but Flycut has a bug that does not allow it to remember your settings after a restart - unless you tell it to save after each clip… It won’t save your preferences whenever they’re changed like most other apps and it took me a while to figure out how to get it to save its preferences. There’re a couple of reports of this problem on the developers GitHub, but it’s still a problem.Still, bugs aside it’s one of my most used/first installed utilities and it’s approach to clipboard management fits my style better than all other clipboard buffers/managers that I’ve tried.
- By joysterIndispensible, Issue with multiple monitorsIndispensible. I must use this a dozens of times a day - can’t imagine doing without.I found that flycut doesn’t work fully if you are pasting into a window on a second monitor (not sure if it’s still an issue if the second monitor is in mirror mode) - it won’t properly let you select another clipping to paste and only lets you paste the most recent one. Still, I just drag the window to the main monitor and paste there and it works fine.Wish: I wish there was a snippet/short cut function that could easily paste frequently used things like my email address without having to search for it.
- By MishMouseAnswer to my Prayers!!!!For years, Illustrator has lacked the ability to paste unformatted text while InDesign has it built in. I have had to paste into a plain text editor, copy that text, then paste it into my Illustrator document. Frankly, this was a royal pain and irritated me because the functionality was just dangling in front of my face with InDesign. This product is a fantastic solution to my problem. I opted to set up an alternate hot key for pasting plain text (option-v) which is perfect and avoids conflicts with other standard pasting hot keys in Adobe apps as well as the OS. A special thanks to the developers on this one. You guys have created a really nice product.
- By higbees5Simple yet incredibly useful copy/paste toolI really love using this tool. It is simple and works wonderfully all day everyday for a myriad of pastings. Flycut keeps an indexed list of your copy/paste items which is easy to quickly sort through with a few keystrokes. Just as importantly, it strips away formatting which for me is soooo useful when working in Excel (much faster than Paste Special->Values). So when you are copying between two documents with two different font formats (which they always are) the pasted text automatically adpots the formatting of its new home. I hope you get as much joy out of this tool as I have.
As a blogger, I have to scour the Internet for multiple reasons. During my web exploration, I find a lot of links and noteworthy content, but I cannot open my Notes app often and paste those links and texts there. So what is the solution? Fortunately, there are many Mac clipboard managers available on the App Store to copy and paste the data quickly. Let’s check it out!

#1. CopyClip
In your entire day, you copy a lot of text, content, or links from different websites. Apart from web sources, you may want to copy something from internal sources like App Store, Finder, and Notes apps. In this case, you can use Exceptions, which blacklist some applications. Once you select (blacklist) some apps on your Mac, Clipboard won’t record that data.

#3. Paste
Paste has a unique interface as it can be accessed from the menubar, but when you click on the icon, a list of clippings swipe up from the bottom of your Mac screen. From the bottom list, you can copy and paste the content in your Mac apps. However, Paste is a paid app, and therefore, it restricts users from creating the clippings; when you wish to copy and paste the data, the app asks for payment.
You are supposed to right-click on the clipping to copy the text, and when a menu pops up, you can Copy the text, but as mentioned above, you need to go for in-app purchases.
